Eco-Friendly Printing reduces its impact on the environment by:

1.)     Minimizing or eliminating Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from the prepress (printing plate making) and printing production process.

2.)     Eliminating chemically-tainted waste water from plate making and conventional offset printing.

3.)     Utilizing Recycled and/or Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Paper whenever possible.

4.)     Using vegetable based inks for offset printing, eliminating almost all of the VOCs in the ink.

5.)     Using non-toxic, biodegradable Dry Toner for digital printing.

1.)   We use Eco-Friendly Waterless Offset

a.    The waterless printing press does not use a dampening system, thereby eliminating the need for both fountain solution and water. This significantly reduces our environmental impact. In fact, recent testing determined that waterless printing alone reduces VOCs by 75% compared to conventional offset printing (Presstek DI Environment/Economic White Paper).

b.    The waterless press also improves press efficiency and print quality. There is no need to constantly manage ink/water balance, which results in the press coming up to color within 20 sheets and maintaining color consistency throughout the print run.

c.    Reduced paper waste has an immediate positive impact on the production cost. Our press achieves this by using up to 50% less paper for make-ready during press setup.

d.    Our Waterless Offset Press is a 19” x 26” 5-color with coater.

2.)   We use Dry Toner in our Eco-Friendly Digital Printing.

a.    Dry Toner produces virtually no VOCs (volatile organic compounds), is biodegradable, and does not require any type of chemical cleanup.

b.    Dry Toner can be de-inked very easily, which allows the paper to be recycled.

c.    Digital Printing is used with minimal make-ready waste for quantities of 1,000 pieces or less.

d.    Our Digital Press can print a 13” x 19” Sheet.
